Sitaw Seed Curry

A good curry is always a welcome meal when one is looking for a hearty meal. This curry is made using sitatw seeds, one of the cheapest local beans available in the market. Make a big batch of this and freeze in small portions to reheat when its meal time. The longer this stays , the tastier it becomes!

1cup paayap or 'sitaw seeds', soaked for at least 8 hours | |
1tablespoon coconut oil | |
1 bunch corriander, chopped | |
1cup tomato sauce | |
1 small onion, red or white, chopped | |
1 thumbsize piece ginger, sliced thinly | |
2tablespoons garam masala | |
2teaspoons cumin powder | |
1teaspoon paprika | |
salt to taste |
Directions
1.
Heat up a pan to medium heat. Add the oil when hot, along with the onions, garlic and ginger. Sautee for 2-3 minutes.

Add the sitaw seeds. Add a little water, followed by tomato sauce.

Stew the mixture until the beans soften, adding a little water if it runs out.
Add the chopped coriander when done cooking.
Serve hot.
