Monggo Kare kare
super easy
Everyone who has tried this monggo karekare is pleasantly surprised at how tasty it is. When you close your eyes, you taste all the components of karekare together in one bite!

Ingredients:
Adjust Servings
2cups dry monggo | |
1cup peanut butter | |
2cloves garlic | |
1/2 onion | |
1tbsp bagoong or vegan bagoong | |
2cups vegetable broth | |
1cup greens of choice, chopped |
Directions
1.
Soak the monggo beans for at least two hours. Boil the monggo.
Mark as complete
2.
In a little oil, saute the onions and garlic.
Mark as complete

Add the cooked monggo and stir fry for around 1 minute.
Mark as complete
4.
Add the peanut butter and mix.
Mark as complete
5.
Add the vegetable broth. Stir until mixture thickens.
Mark as complete
6.
Season with the bagoong. You can start with half a tablespoon and add more to your liking.
Mark as complete
7.
Throw in the greens of your choice and cook till tender.
Mark as complete
